MEET OUR TEAM —
KELLY ROSS, CPA
Kelly Ross is the Managing Director and CEO of Ross Professional Corporation. She is a member of CPA Canada leading with strength, knowledge and passion, having over 20 years of experience in accounting and taxation. Through her career she worked in a multi-national CPA firm, then moved on to be a subject matter expert for development of an accounting program at a college. She is also the founder and Managing Director at TPS Tax and Accounting in Oakville.
Kelly’s interest and passion for accounting came from her mother whose career was in the accounting realm. Kelly has a love for the arts and entertainment industry, which stemmed from having a father who had talent and love for music. Kelly herself played the piano, trumpet and was a dancer through her early years. Now in her downtime, Kelly can be found around the hockey rinks supporting her daughter’s hockey team and following her nephews in their live band performances. She is truly a people person and has a special skill making everyone she meets feel special.
MANAGING DIRECTOR & CEO —
Zena Amy Driver
Zena is part of our US/Canadian tax team. Her all-time favourite returns are the messy Canadian/US investment types.
When not number crunching she is auditioning for film and television. Her current methods of shaking off long days include watching a musical, listening to a musical, discovering a new musical, watching local theatre, 6+ mile walks/runs, and tall cans of wintery brew (past/current faves: Flying Monkeys Paranormal Pumpkin Ale / Highlander Blacksmith Smoked Porter / Collective Arts Stranger Than Fiction Porter).
Most nights Zena can be found happily singing her broadway heart out while dancing around her kitchen!

KENDRA GEORGE
Kendra has 30 years of experience working in sales and administration in both the corporate and entrepreneurial sectors.
She has a true desire to make a difference and provide excellent customer service in all interactions. She is thrilled to be a part of the Ross Professional Corporation team servicing the arts and entertainment field as it is in her blood. Raised with a mother who was involved in a local musical theatre troop, Kendra fell in love with all things theatre – the music, the costumes, the makeup, everything. She also played violin and piano, loving every minute performing in either the orchestra or on onstage in high school productions. Her attention to detail and service with a heart allows her to make a difference.

Lucia Thomas, DFA
Lucy is a passionate, patient, cross-functional, self-motivated and result-driven Tax Services Specialist, with over 14yrs of experience with clients in the Arts and Entertainment industry.
Her interest in taxes started in 2003 when she would assist Brian Borts (her former boss) at his home, by doing bank Reconciliation and keying simple T1 returns. During that time, she became passionately curious about taxes and looked forward to every opportunity to work on T1 Returns. A few years later in 2006, her passion, drive and determination landed her a job with Brian Borts CPA, CA firm until his retirement in 2020. She has since earned a Diploma as a Distinguished Financial Advisor ( DFA – Tax Services Specialist.) There’s rarely a dull moment in her workday and she likes it that way! When she wants to De-Tax, you will find her reading, shopping, cooking, travelling and taking pictures.
CANADIAN TAX EXPERT —
Barry Doerbecker, CPA CA EA(USA)
Over the past 20+ years, Barry's drive for knowledge has led to a career in taxation. He has learned to research, in an attempt to understand, a wide variety of tax legislation. This includes the Income Tax Act (Canada), the Excise Tax Act (for GST/HST in Canada), a wide variety of provincial personal Income, corporate Income and corporate Income tax and Capital tax legislations.
In recent years, he has also focused on the Internal Revenue Code in the United States and the Income Tax Convention primarily focused on performing compliance, research and planning with regard to all maters of taxation (Income and Excise) on both sides of the border for clientele that consists largely of entrepreneurial owner managers, professionals, executives and their families. In addition, He has had experience with the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) claims all types and sizes of organizations.
US & CROSS-BORDER TAX EXPERT —
Avi Maharaj, CPA, CGA
Avi is a CPA, CGA who has 20 years in accounting experience.
Most of her career has been in public accounting and she enjoys helping small businesses better manage their books and operate as efficiently as possible. When away from accounting, she enjoys photography, racquet sports and film watching.

Christine Peterson
Christine has been doing client write ups and bookkeeping since 2010.
What she loves about her job: the order and tidiness of it ; interacting with our great clients! She is passionate about her family, large format film photography, painting, ballet. But not always in that order.

Rose Mihalyi
Answers main phone line and main email. Rose has worked for the accounting firm for 13 years.
Previous to that, Rose worked in film, television and theatre for 30 years.
